Brice Builders was awarded a $10M+ contract from the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) for the development, build, and installation of a new short-wave antenna system (five new guyed towers ranging in height from 250’ to 350’) at the USAGM transmitting station in Kuwait.

The mission of United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) is to inform, engage, and connect people around the world in support of freedom and democracy through the International Broadcasting Bureau. This expanded capability will serve the African continent with shortwave radio/media transmissions.

Working with specialty subcontractor, CESTRON International of Berlin, Germany, Brice is conducting the design, furnish, fabricate, construct, install, test, and deliver the facilities, antennas, field switches, balanced open wire transmission line, coaxial transmission line, and other items as specified. As part of our scope of work, Brice is performing site surveys, studies, and investigations to assess the actual surface and subsurface conditions at the site, and to obtain data for the design and construction of the expanded facilities and the antennas. Specifically, we are performing topographic surveys, geotechnical investigations, and explosive ordnance disposal survey.

Upon construction completion, Brice will provide an operations and maintenance manuals, as built drawings, and a training program for the operation and maintenance of the system.
